The Free Association's 'Invaluable Voices' workshop creates an environment where colleagues value and celebrate each other's contributions. We call this an “Idea Friendly Environment”. It’s one where people aren’t afraid to speak up, to lead when needed, to follow where necessary, to be proud of their own idea, but relinquish ownership and develop ideas together, as a team, when the time is right.
Ideas are like a series of sparks, and without someone taking a risk with the first one, we may never arrive at the final moment of inspiration. When people work together, these sparks fly faster and the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Collaboration drives creativity because innovation emerges from a series of moments, rarely a single flash of insight.

At The Free Association, we believe innovation starts with having the confidence to take a leap into the unknown. We know that taking a risk, or speaking out, is easy when you've got the support of a company - and colleagues - that are honest, engaged and empathetic. This workshop uses simple FA principles and exercises to break down old habits and improve your ability to support decisions, develop ideas together and take risks.

The Free Association training is not about being funny and you won’t be put on the spot. It is about listening, being present, and giving the exercises a go. We’ll ask the group to engage with our philosophies, principles, and lessons from years of working with creatives and businesses, alike.
This training session will be created by The Free Association, specifically for your graduate or on-boarding programme. We will create a bespoke syllabus, consulting you along the way - this means our workshops will be specific to the company goals, and referencial to the attendees - their internal work lives, and their customer needs.
Whichever workshop we create, the team will understand the founding principles of ‘The Idea Friendly Environment’ and be empowered to value their own ideas, and those of the people around them - all while building specific skills to benefit your business, and having a fun and memorable experience.
